Grief is a normal and natural range of emotions that come from the loss of someone or something. It can be from the loss of a loved one, the loss of an ability do to injury, or the loss of a significant relationship.
Emotions such as guilt, resentment, anger and sadness are common and may come up during this period of time as you continue to learn how to cope with what has happened. To further complicate the situation you may find your self experiencing conflicting feelings. Loving someone and missing them while also being angry at them. Along with all of the uncomfortable emotions that arise you may also find yourself being bombarded by existential thoughts about the meaning of life or your life’s purpose.
It is important to seek support during this period from friends, family or in the form of a support group or individual counseling. Dealing with loss is difficult having someone to talk to about it can make a world of difference.
